Market Drivers:

Optimism Over A Phase One Trade Deal

- China and the U.S. have agreed to roll back tariffs on each others’ goods as part of the 1st phase of a trade deal

- A deal may be signed before the end of the year by Trump and Xi at a yet-to-be determined location

- It is widely expected to include a U.S. pledge to scrap tariffs scheduled for Dec. 15 on about USD156 bn worth of Chinese imports

- The Chinese customs and Ministry of Agriculture are considering removing restrictions on U.S. poultry imports

- China has banned all U.S. poultry and eggs since January 2015 due to an avian influenza outbreak

- The plan faces fierce internal opposition at the White House and from outside advisers

MARKET NEWS

ACES seeks to maintain performance growth in the final quarter of this year with the opening of new outlets and promotional programs. During 9M19, ACES booked net sales of IDR5.97 tn, increase of 15.69% YoY. Meanwhile, in the same period the previous year ACES net sales were valued at IDR5.16 tn.

 

APLN recorded a decline in revenue of 23.20% in 3Q19. APLN's operating income in the January-September 2019 period was recorded at IDR2.92 tn. The realization was down from operating income in the same period last year of IDR3.80 tn.

 

MAPB announced the opening of the first Genki Sushi outlet in Semarang. This is the beginning of the company's expansion in Central Java. Previously, Genki Sushi outlets have been opened in 3 big cities;  Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya with a total of 24 units.

 

ASSA signed a credit facility agreement worth Rp300 bn from PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. The facility includes an investment credit worth IDR300 bn and the addition of a local credit ceiling of IDR30 billion to IDR100 bn.
